Last month I travelled down to the Yorkshire Dales for a long weekend in celebration of yet another family birthday milestone. We stayed in a farmhouse in a little town called Kirky Stephen which is located just at the tip of the dales; we spent our mornings reading, our afternoons exploring the countryside and our evenings relaxing in the hot tub. Absolute peaceful bliss.
5 Quirky Reasons Why I Love London
I know a few people who don’t like visiting London for a number of reasons, mainly because of how over-crowded it can be and how fast-paced life is. However, I believe that they just haven’t found the right side of the city yet; it has so much to offer, and I can guarantee it has something for everyone.
Shaun in the City Challenge!
When we went down to London for a random weekend away last May, we noticed loads of Shaun the Sheep statues peppered across the city. We weren’t sure what it was for but after coming home and reading all about it, it was part of a charity art trail across London, organised by Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Foundation. Us being us, we thought it was fun to take a picture with every one we came across, even if it did mean waiting 10 minutes for all the six year olds to stop playing on it.
Where I’m Travelling To In 2016
It’s that time of the year again for us 9-5’ers to start meticulously planning our holidays out, given out circa 28 paid annual leave days. Jamie and I have agreed this year that we will try to keep our trips to small weekends away at a time, and try to save up for a big long-haul adventure next year.
