So for this post I thought I would share a funny (well it’s funny now, it wasn’t at the time) story, and possibly a good lesson learned.
I’ve filtered through the thousands of images I took while in Ibiza in September and gathered a few of the Old Town that were just so inspiring. The photo’s don’t do the atmosphere and vibe any justice, but hopefully these photos will give you a small glimpse into this gem of a place.
We spend our afternoon wandering around the narrow, winding cobbled streets – stopping at every little market stall. Afterwards we walked up to the Dalt Villa fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Hope you enjoy!
So for our annual holiday this year, we decided we wanted to find somewhere where we could relax during the day, sunbathe, swim etc but come night time we didnt want to be stuck to hotel entertainment. We had never went on a package holiday so we were unsure of what to expect.
Cue The White Isle!
If you’re planning a trip to Thailand I’m pretty sure you’ve researched the hell out of your destination, whether it be Bangkok, Phuket or somewhere up north like Chiang Mai, then you probably already know what excursions you’re going on, what hostel you’re staying at or even a few favourite bars that people have recommended. But what a lonely planet book won’t tell you is to be vigilant of scams, tricks etc. Now Thais were one of the most polite and friendly people I met on my travels, even the police stopped us to give some advice on the best mode of transport to get to our hotel from the train station! But despite all the positives, there are always negatives, just like any country you visit. So I’ve written five things that will hopefully allow you to have a smooth and happy holiday!
