After visiting Go Ape a few few weeks ago, we never really got a chance to see the rest of Aberfoyle because we were busy swing from the trees for 3 hours. We thought since we were free last Sunday that it would be a great opportunity to make the drive back up and take a wander around the main street and surrounding areas to see what there was to do and see.
Swinging from the Trees at Go Ape!
Last weekend Jamie and I headed up to Aberfoyle for a day swinging from the trees at Go Ape. The only way that I can describe Go Ape is that it is a tree-top adventure obstacle course that really gets every part of your body working and really pushes the boundaries of what you thought your limitations were. We had always wanted to go here but with life getting in the way it was just something another thing that we had forgotten to do this summer.
6 Alternative Things to Do in Berlin
Ok, I covered all the main sites and attractions in last weeks post, but now it’s time to go over some of the alternative things that I found in the city that I didn’t find in any guide book or blog post. Like I had said before, we didn’t really have a plan for Berlin; we were all just excited to get out of Scotland for the weekend, explore something new things and generally just have a good time hanging out with each other and meeting new people.
Trying out Airbnb in Berlin
As someone who loves travel and is a 21st Century kid, I need to keep up with the times! And that means jumping on the bandwagon when it comes to new and innovative ways of using technology and the internet to get the best rate flights, accommodation and tours. Lo and Behold, Airbnb was born!
How To Spent a Weekend in Berlin: The Sites
The fact this post is live means I’ve been to Berlin, explored the city and now I’m home. Sad times! Last week I travelled to Berlin with two of my closest friends to explore what Germany had to offer. Part of the reason we chose Berlin was simply because I’ve always wanted to go, and partly because the flights and accommodation were so cheap (see my post here on how I managed to travel for £225).
A Weekend in Berlin for under £225
I recently visited Berlin with two of my closest friends from school and managed to get flights and accommodation for just over £200 (please bear in mind, this was before the chaos that the Brexit vote caused!). I’m one for a good bargain, I say it all the time, but I don’t understand why you would pay for something that costs X amount, and you can get the same thing elsewhere for cheaper.
An Overnight Stay & Afternoon Tea at the Edinburgh Capital Hotel
Last weekend I travelled through to Edinburgh with around 16 fabulous ladies for one of my best friend’s hen weekend. We went for a sophisticated itinerary of Chicago at the Playhouse Theatre, Dinner and then some Salsa dancing to finish off. We stayed at the Edinburgh Capital Hotel just on the outskirts of the city and only 1.5 miles from Edinburgh Zoo.
Clydeside & a Night at the Hilton, Glasgow
If you follow me on twitter you will know that I recently won a competition with my local radio station to attend the Ideal Home Show at the SECC in Glasgow last weekend. Part of the prize was also a luxury over night stay at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow.
Ibiza’s Sunset Strip
To say Ibiza is renowned for it’s epic sunsets is an absolute understatement, and one of the most treasured parts of the island to witness the phenomenon is on the world famous sunset strip. You can watch the sun set a thousand times but each one will be unique and give you a new overwhelming sense of relaxation, romance and wanderlust to discover what is beyond that horizon. I’m not going to lie to you, there are other places on the island to witness the sunset, but with the combination of perfect geography, music and beverages, nothing beats San Antonio.
10 Things To Do in Budapest
One of the things I said to myself when I finished university and took on a full-time job was to continue travelling, especially into Europe as it would be easy access. However, after going to Budapest once, I really really want to go back for a second time.
